About this deal

A heart-warming and hilarious look at life in the classroom from the teachers who host the most popular UK education podcast, Two Mr Ps in a Pod(Cast).

Most people use paper towels over food to keep food warm, dust-free, moisture-free, and easily portable from one place to the next. The tall plant on the left (pictured above) is a 3-year-old avocado plant I started from seed. You can see it is tall and lanky (almost 6ft), without branching because it hadn’t been topped off. It is just now beginning to sprout future branches. The lower leaves look like when it first started from seed, then at the very top it’s leaves are more true to the mature plant of this variety. You can see it has some sun spots from one day when I forgot to cover the greenhouse. Will An Avocado Plant Started From Seed Ever Bear Fruit? I really enjoyed reading about the different types of teachers, their positives, their quirks and everything in between. It was amusing to read the descriptions and then think of your own experiences with school teachers, as a pupil and then later as a parent. I definitely recognised the odd character here and there. Last night I left the kids at home on their own for half an hour while I went to meet Mr Frugal from work and popped to the shop to see what bargains I could find in the reduced section.

Unfortunately I was put off by the writing style that in places was more like the podcast that seemed to get constantly promoted throughout the book. Having read quite a few in-depth knowledge, I was looking for a bit of 'light relief', I'm a huge fan of the 'behind the scenes' stories, be it from a A Prison Doctor, someone who works on a Cruise ship or a police officer so thought why not read what the education system is like from the view of 'Sir' or 'Miss'? This is the part that requires a lot of patience… it can take several weeks for the root to take off, and several more weeks for a shoot (stem with leaflets) to grow.

The seeds sprout, grow, and do well in water for quite a while. But once your plant starts to grow tall (about a foot), it will need the nutrients it can only get in soil. But, you should also be careful when you are using paper towels because they can’t come with much moisture and easily burn when it comes to an overheating problem. There is quite a bit of repetition in the material and more than once a subject is introduced then immediately dismissed – “more on that later!” – which would work orally but made me wonder when reading why they would bother to bring it up HERE if they’re only talking about it THERE! Education’s answer to Adam Kay … Lee and Adam Parkinson are doing for teaching what he did for medicine.' The Times Near the end of the book they go over some of the annoying habits of teachers, and annoying things they have to deal with; you'd think they'd heed their own advice. Acronyms are used throughout, maybe on the thinking that the book is aimed at teachers (I'm a parent, and someone who helps in the school when possible, and also a Beaver and Cub Scout leader) but for the layman it could be a tad confusing. They really capture primary school life to a T. The chapter about school performances is hilarious! As a parent, I’ve been to the nativity performances and everything said is so true. Anyone who writes early on that they have the largest following on social media of any Primary School teacher somewhat puts me off as it sounds like a Secondary School student boasting about their likes and followers.

Typicallyit takes about8 weeks from dayone soaking the seed, to having roots and shoots with small leaflets. However some avo seeds are late bloomers while others burst on scene, but on average this is the approximate times my various sets of avocado plants have taken to grow. It may also depend on the variety of avocado, so be patient! According to my experience, a paper towel is a good option for 5 to 15 days of use. How Do You Microwave Paper Towels?
