About this deal
Has anyone experienced this before? I certainly didn't over tighten it when fitting so couldn't have damaged the internal thread. The tail is from a brand new Drayton TRV so I can't see that being at fault. It's probably down to machining tolerances and also some tails have a tapered thread, which is a big help. Just spent the evening changing a radiator at a friend's and have had a battle with one radiator tail. When I did radiators (ooh, I enjoyed typing that...), I always tried several tails (I kept spares) and having found the tightest, used liquid PTFE (Flomasta - Screwfix sell it, type in 5321J) instead of tape on both threads (ie the tail's and the rad's).
