Course Outline - Shelters (1 day)
What
This is a hands on course. The instructors will explain and demonstrate but you will get the opportunity to have a go at everything!
The emphasis will be on building natural shelters.
You will cover the folllowing:
- Man-made Shelters
Looking at various options for sleeping outside using man-made materials such as tarpaulins, and how to site them for best effect.
- Natural Shelters
- Plant & tree use
How to identify and use the natural resources around you for building shelters
Using natural sites for shelter.
Building shelters out of natural materials

The day course starts at 9:30am and finishes at about 5pm.
Who
Suitable for beginners, or those with some experience who want further practice. It is suitable for young children accompanied by their parents.
There is a maximum of 10 people on this course.

In beautiful woodland in the heart of Sussex. Located near Pulborough it is just over one hour from London. View a map of the location.
How much
The cost of the course is £70 for the day.
